University of Tennessee at Martin. Assistant Professor of Art Education. Tenure-track. Starting August 1, 2018.
Ph.D, EdD or ABD in Art Education required. Demonstrate the ability to maintain and build an art education program. Ability to teach relevant conceptual, theoretical, and historical issues in art education. Two years of college teaching experience in art education courses including supervising student teachers and three years’ experience as a certified art teacher in K-12 public schools preferred. Working knowledge of edTPA preferred. Participate in development of curriculum, and advise students in academic and career planning. Departmental service is also expected. Demonstrated excellence in teaching. Demonstrated excellence in written communication skills. Willingness and ability to also teach either art appreciation lecture courses or foundation studio courses as needed. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
