Tenure-Track Assistant Professor or Associate Professor in Architectural Design

The Department of Architecture at Texas A&M University invites applications for one tenure-track faculty position in architectural design at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor for Fall 2018.

Responsibilities will include instructing students in design studios as well as lecture and seminar courses; mentoring students for masters’ final studies, masters’ theses and doctoral dissertations; initiating and conducting a nationally recognized program of research, scholarly inquiry, or creative work; and contributing to faculty governance and administration. Appointments are nine months, renewable annually. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

In addition to a terminal degree in architecture, successful candidates must possess credentials of professional experience in architectural design; a record of recognized research, scholarly, and creative work, such as built work, design awards, grants, publications and exhibitions; and experience and accomplishment in teaching at the undergraduate or post-graduate level. Applicants who are doctoral candidates may be considered if the candidate will be awarded the doctorate by September 2018.
