The School of Architecture at the University of Kentucky College of Design seeks applicants for a tenure-track assistant professor position with expertise in both architecture and urbanism. Extensive research, design, teaching experience and an understanding of curriculum focused on architecture and urbanism is desired. The assignment will begin on August 16, 2017.
All faculty at the School of Architecture support the design centered curriculum by applying research, professional, and creative expertise to innovative studio, seminar, and/or lecture course offerings.
The School seeks candidates who have an agenda of scholarly research and/or creative work and who are committed to professional, scholarly, and teaching excellence. Teaching loads may vary from semester to semester. Preferred candidates for these positions must hold a terminal degree in Architecture. As a land-grant institution, university and professional service are an expectation.
The School of Architecture grants the NAAB accredited professional degree in architecture through undergraduate and graduate coursework. The College of Design also includes the School of Interiors and the Department of Historic Preservation.
