The Studio Art Department is looking for a candidate to fill a Lecturer position in photography with duties that may include but are not limited to teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in photography.

Minimum Qualifications:
MFA or equivalent in Studio Art/ Photography or other relevant terminal degree. An active exhibition record, combined with the ability to communicate within one’s own disciplinary interest and across a broad range of contemporary and traditional photographic practices, concepts and techniques. Candidates should demonstrate successful college level teaching and a trajectory of creative and professional activity.

Photography should be the candidate’s primary artistic research within the context of contemporary art. In addition, candidates must be able to effectively communicate contemporary issues in studio art and mentor advanced students with expanded technical and conceptual development. Knowledge of the history, criticism and theories of photography and ability to teach digital editing software and printing are essential.

Among the many area museums are the Amon Carter Museum, the Dallas Contemporary, the African-American Museum, the Trammell and Margaret Crow Collection of Asian Art, the Dallas Museum of Art, the Kimbell Art Museum, the Meadows Museum, the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth and the Nasher Sculpture Center.
