The Cleveland Institute of Art, an undergraduate school of art and design, is seeking qualified ABD/post-doctoral applicants to fill visiting positions in art history in our Liberal Arts Department. Candidates are sought to teach core courses in the methods, concepts, and movements of art history and visual culture from antiquity to the present. These are one-semester appointments to begin in August 2017, with the possibility of renewal. Candidates should be competent in general art history, with a main focus in ancient, medieval, and/or Renaissance art, or modern and contemporary art.

Qualifications:

  • Some undergraduate teaching experience
  • Evidence of commitment to professional achievement
  • ABD/post-doc/emerging scholars
