One Year Visiting Assistant Professor in Directing 

 

The Theater Department at Skidmore College invites applications for a one year Visiting Assistant Professor (VAP) in Directing to join the department’s BS degree program for academic year 24-25. This position will direct our Spring mainstage production, teach Directing at all levels, mentor student directors in lab processes, and support season programming. Successful candidates will demonstrate a commitment to diversity, inclusion and cultural competency in teaching, production, student mentoring, and the profession.

Qualifications: Undergraduate degree (BA, BFA, BS) required; MFA, DFA, PhD or comparable terminal degree required; experience working with undergraduates required; professional experience preferred. This is a nine-month, full-time terminal position. 

Salary range: $64,000-$68,000.
