Full-time, nine month, tenure track position. Teach undergraduate and graduate studio horn and undergraduate music theory. Supervise student teachers. Other duties may include teaching: instrumental literature and techniques, music literature, world music, serving on graduate committees, supervising independent study projects as appropriate to appointee’s qualifications, and additional assignments to meet departmental needs. All faculty members are expected to assist in recruitment and to be active in research, performance, or creative scholarship. Excellence in teaching is expected – both in the classroom and in mentoring students outside the classroom. As part of a normal workload you may be asked to teach online courses. Participation in Inclusive Excellence by undertaking outreach to diverse communities (multicultural student organizations, Native American community, GLBTIQ community, Latino community, veterans, women, etc.) on and off campus is encouraged. Appointment begins August 22, 2018.
Doctorate in Horn (PhD, DMA, DA or similar) ABD will be considered.
