The School of Film & Photography at Montana State University-Bozeman invites applications for a full-time, tenure-eligible Assistant Professor of Film beginning August 2024. We seek a colleague with the knowledge to teach production courses in the School’s undergraduate and graduate film curriculum with a focus on fiction film production in producing, sound production, lighting, cinematography, and editing.
These skill-specific areas of production are an integral part of the foundation of our program. The proposed tenure-track faculty position will be a key contributor in our film undergraduate program and our thriving, unique, award-winning M.F.A. in Science & Natural History Filmmaking.
The candidate is expected to teach a in our core BA Film and BFA in Integrated Lens-based Media programs, develop and maintain an active creative research agenda, and participate in service responsibilities.
