Rank/Title: Assistant Professor/Associate Professor

Job Summary/Basic Function: The successful candidate will have responsibilities that may include but are not limited to the following:
- Teach undergraduate and graduate studio horn lessons and studio classes.
- Supervise graduate degree requirement including supervision of dissertation documents.
- Recruit highly qualified students.
- Contribute to the research/creative-activities mission of the College and University in national and international settings that are peer-reviewed.
- Participate in the service mission of the College, University, and profession.

Other duties may include, but are not limited to, chamber music coaching, brass pedagogy classes and assisting in the brass area as needed.

Minimum Qualifications: Demonstrated excellence as a horn teacher and active performer. A diverse musical background as a horn performer (solo, chamber, orchestra, etc.). Demonstrable success in teaching horn at the college/university level to include a proven record of attracting, developing and retaining outstanding students. Master’s degree required.
