Assistant Professor of Theatre Design-Scenic Costume and/or Lighting. Permanent, full-time, 9-month tenure-earning position #3241 which contributes to the teaching and service missions of the University of South Florida. Anticipated start date is August 7, 2019.
Minimum: MFA in Theatre Design. Demonstrated University teaching experience in theatre design. Demonstrated ability to design scenery, costumes and/or lighting for mainstage productions in theatre, dance and/or musicals.
Preferred: The ideal candidate will have some or all of the following: National and/or international professional design credits in theatre and/or dance, Membership is USA (United Scenic Artists), Expertise in a second design area, Leadership and/or management experience.
Duties: Teaching form a wide variety of design courses dependent on area of expertise. Three assignments in design and or teaching per semester. Mentoring of BA design students. Leadership of the design area. Conduct research and/or creative work with national or international impact.
