RISD Continuing Education educates students of all ages in art and design with high quality, accessible programs, courses, lectures and workshops. Its art and design for everyone.

Continuing Education at RISD is seeking a part-time Program Manager, Digital and Interactive Design Studies. This Program Manager is responsible for researching, planning, staffing, coordinating, monitoring, evaluating and implementing offerings in Digital and Interactive Studies. This includes certificate programs, courses, conferences, seminars and special events, in areas such as Animation; Interactive Design, Photography and Digital Foundations.

In addition the Digital and Interactive Design Studies Program Manager:
-Actively engages other Program Managers, Technicians and key CE faculty in order to develop, recommend, implement and assess online learning initiatives in Digital and Interactive Studies.
-Hires, orients, supervises and evaluates course instructors.
-Maintains standards of current programs and proposes ideas for new programs.
-Makes suggestions for cross-disciplinary initiatives and for the integration of technology into traditional by-hand subject areas.
-Serves as initial point of contact on a variety of digital inquiries/issues and engages faculty, staff, and students as appropriate to reply/resolve.

The ideal candidate will will have three to five years’ experience in art education and/or program development/implementation in an arts or continuing education environment with a demonstrated understanding and ability to stay abreast of current trends and developments in field (specifically with interactive media). We prefer teaching experience at the post-secondary level as well as prior supervisory experience. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a diverse population, a must.
