University of Arizona School of Theatre, Film & Television. Seeks a Scene Designer to join our professionally focused Design/Technology program. Career-track, non-tenure-eligible, benefits-eligible, academic appointment. Duties: Teach courses and direct production studies to undergraduate and graduate students in some of the following topics: scenic design, period styles, drafting, and props. Instruct and supervise scenic design and technology students for all productions in the theatre programs. Minimum Qualifications: MFA in Scenic Design or equivalent professional experience. Professional experience as a scenic designer required. Experience in CAD drafting, model making, painting, drawing, and digital imaging. Preferred Qualifications: University-level teaching experience in scenic design or related skills beyond graduate school preferred. Experience with projection design and designing in technologically-enhanced multi-media environments such as: rock shows, film and television production, XR settings, and immersive installations.
