Job Description Summary
Lecturer, full-time, non-tenure-track. Salary commensurate with experience

Primary responsibilities: teach undergraduate music majors in the areas of written and aural music theory. The ideal candidate would be equally conversant in classical, contemporary/commercial and jazz music theory pedagogy, integrating these throughout the core undergraduate theory and aural skills curriculum. Additional assignments dependent on Departmental needs.
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree in Music Theory at the time of appointment is required, doctorate desired; excellent communication skills required.

The successful candidate must meet eligibility requirements for work in the United States at the time the appointment is scheduled to begin and continue working legally for the term of employment.

Desired Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to effectively teach core undergraduate music theory and aural skills.
