The Department of Dance and Theatre at the University of North Texas is seeking a full-time Lecturer in Dance to begin September 1, 2020 (classes begin 8/27/2020). The position of Lecturer comes with full benefits. The candidate will teach four undergraduate courses (all levels from beginning through advanced) per semester. Candidate’s teaching approach will be informed by professional practice and influenced by traditional and emerging in trends in dance training. Choreograph for the annual faculty dance concert. Active participation in Department activities and committees is expected.
MFA or equivalent terminal degree in dance; professional experience; evidence of at least one year of successful teaching in a university setting. The candidate should demonstrate expertise in teaching modern dance technique, choreography, performance, and dance kinesiology.
