Seton Hill University invites applications for an Instructor/Assistant Professor of Graphic Design/Digital Media.
Requirements include an MFA in Graphic Design or a related field. The candidate should have a thorough knowledge of web design, responsive design, motion graphics, and user experience design. Preference will be given to candidates with strong skills in animation, motion graphics and/or design strategy with a record of ongoing professional experience as well as successful teaching experience at the college level.
The successful candidate will develop and teach undergraduate classes with emphasis on technical skill, design theory, web and interaction/responsive design, and help to cultivate and shape the program and develop curriculum into new and emerging areas. Candidates should demonstrate an understanding of screen-based work in both production and theory. Candidates are expected to show facility with responsive design with strong HTML/CSS skills, expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud software, knowledge of time-based software/video production, and exhibit an entrepreneurial approach to design. A commitment to teaching within the context of a liberal arts education is also required.
