Primary Purpose of Position
The Department of Graphic Design Technology is accepting applications for a Part-time Computer Aided Design Instructor. The instructor will be hired on a semester-by-semester basis to teach the Department’s CAD courses. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Teaching face-to-face, attending training sessions as needed, participating in data collection and assessment of student learning, and submitting teaching materials as part of semester review.
Primary Function of Organizational Unit
The Department of Graphic Design Technology supports over 130 undergraduate majors.
Qualified candidates need a master’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology or a related field or a master’s degree and 18 graduate hours of course work in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology – in either case with expertise in design drafting for mechanical and architectural fields, and parametric modeling and animation.
Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education
Candidates with industry or government experience and 1-3 years teaching experience at the University or Community College level are preferred.
