The Film & Electronic Arts Program at Bard College is searching to fill an open rank tenure track position, beginning September 2020, for a practicing filmmaker or media artist to teach undergraduate courses centered on one or more of the following: fiction and non-fiction filmmaking, cinematography, sound design, animation, digital media, expanded cinema, emerging and hybrid media forms. These hands-on courses should be designed to integrate into a broad liberal arts curriculum and a film major that includes both production and film history/criticism.

Candidates should have a strong and active exhibition and production record, college-level teaching experience, and be conversant with contemporary discourses in the field. A commitment to teaching undergraduates in a liberal arts environment and active participation in program development are a must.
