The University of North Carolina School of the Arts, School of Dance is accepting applications for a full-time, Assistant Professor position in Ballet. All applications received by December 1, 2023, will be given full consideration. Notification of intent to hire will be made by April 12, 2024. Teaching responsibilities will begin Fall semester of 2024. The successful candidate will teach courses in all levels of ballet to students in both high school and undergraduate programs. In addition, they will be expected to teach from among the following: Pointe, Virtuosity (traditionally Men’s Class), Partnering, Repertory, Dance History, Pedagogy, and Career Preparation. We also welcome Character Dance, Musical Theater, Composition, Improvisation, Anatomy, Choreography, and Contemporary Dance skills.
