The UCLA Department of Theater seeks an assistant professor in Theater and Performance Studies beginning July 1, 2023 with duties commencing Academic Year, 2023-24. Candidates with research and publishing emphasis on Latina/o/e/x, Indigenous, Global South Theater, Performance, and Theories are preferred and should have evidence of publication and conference participation in the field, a strong commitment to academic publication and professional activity; ability to teach critical studies and historical courses to performing arts students; capacity to guide dissertations and mentor PhD students; work collaboratively with colleagues and have a commitment to administrative work; Required: PhD in Theater/Performance Studies, or allied field in hand by the time of appointment.
