Textile and fashion industry has huge environmental impacts and new sustainable materials and practices are needed to make a sustainable transition in this sector.  A paradigm change towards a circular textile economy can only be achieved by introducing bio-based, biodegradable, and circular raw materials suitable for the industry.  Sustainable, widely versatile, durable, but attractive and fully recyclable textile is needed for industrial use. In CELLFILL project this aspect will be investigated and Lyocell filament yarn (LFY) will be developed together with industry partners adidas, Conti-Tech (technical products & textiles) and Matur Fompak Int (automotive textiles). Lenzing AG, the Austrian global innovator and leader in cellulosic fibers textiles will lead the project.
