The Department of Theatre and Dance at The University of Texas at Austin seeks a tenured/ tenure-track faculty member with a focus in Production Design for Film/ Television and/or Media. Our creative and scholarly community is committed to collaboration not only in the making of performance but in the delivery of the curriculum with a high value placed on transparency, diplomacy, and inclusivity. Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to foster diversity, equity, and inclusion in their work and portfolio.

We seek candidates with a record of preparing emerging artists as catalysts for equity, innovation, and quality on local and global levels. Production Design candidates with experience as a Scenic Designer, Art Director, and/or Digital Designer for one or more of the following areas are encouraged to apply: Film, Television, Experimental Performance, Culturally Specific Performance, Dance, and/or other Live Performance Events.
