The University of Tennessee Department of Theatre seeks a dynamic teacher of acting with experience in graduate and undergraduate instruction, and a record of professional accomplishment. This position’s duties include teaching, mentoring and advising students in the acting concentrations of the BA and MFA programs. Additional expertise in teaching voice and speech for the actor is desirable. As a member of the Clarence Brown Theatre Company, this colleague will act or direct in one to two productions a year for the theatre. Other expectations include a continuing record of scholarly research and/or external creative activity and service to the university.
Terminal degree (MFA or PHD) or professional equivalency required. Advanced teaching experience in acting at the national or international level desired. Professional activity and promise expected.
