1. Assistant Professor of Architecture

The Hammons School of Architecture at Drury University seeks applicants for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor, to begin August 2022. The successful candidate will contribute to a dynamic program and a distinctive educational model that provides rigorous professional education in the context of a flexible curriculum grounded in the liberal arts.

Candidates must demonstrate experience or promise of excellence in design-studio teaching, along with more focused teaching area(s) including but not limited to: introductory design, advanced design representation, and advanced building-materials or building-systems studies.

The ideal candidate will also demonstrate an enthusiasm for interdisciplinary work and for collaboration across the university, as well as the ability to develop or continue a successful pattern of scholarship or critical design practice.

Candidates must hold a graduate degree in architecture, with a PhD desirable. Teaching and/or professional experience as well as licensure are also preferred. Interested candidates should submit (in .pdf format only) an application package comprising a CV, a statement of teaching approach, a portfolio, and names and contact information for three references. The application materials should provide evidence of a commitment to fostering and engaging with a diversity of ideas and experiences in support of an inclusive environment in the classroom and at the University. 2. Two-Year Visiting Assistant Professor of Architecture

The Hammons School of Architecture at Drury University seeks applicants for a non-tenure-track position at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor, to begin August 2022 and extending through the 2023-24 academic year. The successful candidate will contribute to a dynamic program and a distinctive educational model that provides rigorous professional education in the context of a flexible curriculum grounded in the liberal arts.

Candidates must demonstrate experience or promise of excellence in design-studio teaching, along with more focused teaching area(s) including but not limited to: introductory design, advanced design representation, and advanced building-materials or building-systems studies.
