Job Description Summary
Lecturer, full-time, non-tenure-track. Salary commensurate with experience

Primary responsibilities: recruit, retain, and teach tuba and euphonium to music majors; communicate with music programs in the state and region. Additional assignments include courses related to music theory, composition, technology, history, and/or music appreciation, dependent on Departmental needs.

Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree in low brass performance at the time of appointment and professional level of artistry as a performer is required. Doctorate is desired; ABD will be considered.
Excellent communication skills required.

The successful candidate must meet eligibility requirements for work in the United States at the time the appointment is scheduled to begin and continue working legally for the term of employment.

Professional performance experience in solo, chamber, wind, and orchestral ensembles; successful experience recruiting and retaining talented students at the university level; experience teaching tuba/euphonium repertoire and pedagogy
