Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a twelve-month, tenure track
associate professor of professor faculty position and Associate Dean of the College of the Arts
(COTA) July 2020.

Job duties include but are not limited to the following:
Oversight of college curriculum planning, program review and assessment; Oversight of
Advising across COTA; Leadership of Student success initiatives; Oversight of orientations and
recruitment events; Leadership of research initiatives and grant writing initiatives; Serve as
the COTA liaison for international education; Facilitate Graduate program development;
Candidate will teach a course load equivalent to 10%, at least one course per academic year;
Candidate will be a member of the COTA Dean’s Cabinet and the COTA Leadership Team
reporting directly to the Dean of the College of the Arts; and Other duties as assigned by the
Dean. Service to the College of the Arts and the University, along with appropriate scholarship
activities are expected. This is a twelve-month position. Salary is competitive and commensurate
with qualifications and experience.

Preferred qualifications: Experience in program accreditation, curriculum development,
assessment, facilities oversight, development or oversight of international education experiences.

Required Qualifications: Terminal degree or foreign equivalent or its equivalent in training,
ability, and/or experience, in one of the four academic disciplines offered by the College of the
Arts (art, dance, music, theatre or performance studies); Candidate must be tenurable as an
Associate Professor or Professor; Position requires candidates to have exemplary written and
verbal communication skills; Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with multiple
stakeholders across College and Institution; and A minimum of 2 years of higher education
administrative experience.
