The LSU School of Architecture seeks applicants for three full-time Assistant or Associate Professor positions. The School is interested in applicants with demonstrated teaching experience in both undergraduate and graduate level, and professional/academic expertise that will broaden its teaching base and research output in one or more of the following focus areas:
- Beginning Design
- Advanced Architectural Design
- History and Theory of Architecture and Urbanism
Candidates are expected to participate in scholarly and/or professional research activities, teach design studios, lecture courses and seminars in their area of expertise, provide service to the School, College, and University, and help in program development. Additional responsibilities include student advising and mentoring. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and position.
Master of Architecture degree or a terminal degree in Architecture or a closely related field. Provide evidence of, or the potential for, teaching effectiveness, scholarship, innovative practice, communications skills, and collegiality.

The LSU School of Architecture offers two professional and nationally accredited degrees: Bachelors of Architecture and Masters of Architecture. The College of Art & Design is a vibrant interdisciplinary unit composed of the Schools of Art, Architecture, Interior Design, and Landscape Architecture. The college’s new Doctor of Design degree program in Cultural Preservation (2017), the Fabrication Factory, and LSU Coastal Sustainability Studio add a growing multidisciplinary dimension to the existing degree programs.
