The University of Wyoming seeks to fill an Assistant Lecturer position in the Department of Theatre & Dance. This is a full-time benefited position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Teach Musical Theatre Workshop, and Musical Theatre Voice Lessons

Provide accompaniment for class, lessons and rehearsals.

Provide musical direction for the Spring Musical

Provide vocal coaching

Prepare students for professional and graduate school auditions

SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS:

Serve as department accompanist for auditions and evaluations as needed

COMPETENCIES:

Musical proficiency, vocal coaching experience, teamwork and cooperation in production and departmental activities, oral and written communication, developing organizational talent, motivational fit and flexibility in scheduling during production.

REMOTE WORK ELIGIBILITY:

This position provides vital support to campus customers and requires the successful candidate be available to work on campus.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

MFA or significant teaching and professional experience beyond a BFA in Musical Theatre.

Teaching and professional experience at Conservatory or University level in Musical Theatre Collaborate on productions within academic institution

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experienced accompanist for lessons and rehearsals.

Experience with vocal training, repertory, fundamentals of music theory and Musical Theatre History

Ability to teach in another area: Introduction to Theatre or Beginning Acting
