The Department of Dance and Theatre at the University of North Texas is seeking a full-time lecturer in dance to begin September, 1, 2020 (classes begin 8/27/2020). The position of Lecturer comes with full benefits. The candidate will teach four undergraduate courses (all levels from beginning through advanced) per semester. The candidate should demonstrate the ability to innovatively teach a range of undergraduate dance courses, such as dance history and culture, dance pedagogy, music for dance, choreography, and somatics. Also demonstrate ability to teach one or more diverse dance genres or styles. Candidate should demonstrate ability to choreograph for the annual faculty dance concert. Active participation in Department activities and committees is expected, including producing or rehearsal-directing for the Faculty Dance Concert.
