Assistant Professor of Production Management (non-tenure track)
The School of Theatre & Dance at WEST VIRGINIA UNIVERSITY invites nominations and applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Production Management (12 month non-tenure track appointment). We seek an energetic and skilled production manager and stage manager possessing a demonstrated ability to manage the production resources in a large and vibrant production program that includes theatre, musicals, operas, and dance. This position will serve as the Production Manager overseeing 10-12 productions during the academic year and West Virginia Public Theatre’s season of 3-5 shows.
Teaching duties include graduate and undergraduate courses in stage management and production management, and supervising the stage management practicum program. Additionally, this position will stage manage one production for West Virginia Public Theatre and supervise student stage managers for the School’s mainstage season. Participation in developing curriculum, recruiting, advising, academic advising, student portfolio development is required. Preference for members of AEA.
