The Department of Art and Art History (www.sas.rochester.edu/aah/) at the University of Rochester invites applications for a tenure-track position at the level of Assistant Professor in any area within Indigenous and/or Hemispheric American Art, Architecture, and Visual Culture. Candidates should be able to teach a range of courses including historical surveys and visual studies courses for undergraduate majors and non-majors as well as specialized seminars for upper-level majors and graduate students in the University's Graduate Program in Visual and Cultural Studies. Applicants should have a PhD in Art History or a related field and have defended their dissertation by August 1, 2024. The pay range of $90,000 – $94,000 represents the full base range of pay for this job. Individual salaries will be determined within the job’s salary range and established based on market data, experience and expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
