The Department of Design at The University of North Texas (UNT) seeks a candidate in human-centered design and/or evidence-based design with a commitment to excellence in teaching, research and professional practice in Interior Design.
The successful candidate will teach both undergraduate and graduate courses in our Interior Design program. Teaching responsibilities will include design studios, professional practice, building environmental systems, and detailing and graduate level research seminars. The current standard annual teaching load prior to the submission of the tenure dossier is 2/2. A successful candidate will be expected to develop a teaching portfolio and a creative/scholarly research agenda conducted in human-centered and/or evidence-based design.
Additional responsibilities include mentoring students, both undergraduate and graduate, service to the college and university, professional development, and continued enhancement of the design department, which is housed in a Carnegie Tier One Research University and Hispanic-Serving Institution.
