Assistant Professor, Acting/Stage Voice, UNC Charlotte Department of Theatre. Tenure-track position beginning August 15, 2020. Required: MFA or PhD; three years college-level teaching experience. Seeking a highly collaborative artist/scholar with expertise teaching a variety of contemporary acting and stage voice pedagogies. We also seek a record of meaningful work in and across racial and cultural borders. Expertise in IPA, Knight-Thompson, Dialects, Shakespeare verse/text desired. Possible additional areas: African-American Theatre, culturally responsive acting pedagogies, Directing, and/or Applied Theatre. 3/2 teaching load, participation in departmental service/governance, and ongoing creative and/or scholarly research commensurate with attaining tenure at a research institution expected.
