Assistant Teaching Professor – Theater Design and Technology Program (Non-Tenure Track)
The Syracuse University Department of Drama seeks to hire an Assistant Teaching Professor for its Theater Design and Technology Program. This is a non-tenure track position beginning in Fall 2021. Primary expertise should be in scenic design and digital technology, with additional expertise in production in a variety of performance venues and styles. Additional expertise in other entertainment design genres such as corporate theater, theme parks, and events is highly desired. The department seeks candidates whose personal and professional experience, teaching, and creative activity contribute to the advancement of equity, aesthetic diversity, and cultural wealth. Successful candidates will enhance the department’s capacity to both honor and cultivate the contributions of those communities that have historically been under-represented or underserved in theater training and/or the theatrical profession.
