Primary Purpose
Idaho State University Department of Theatre and Dance invites applications for a one-year, non-tenure position of Visiting Assistant Professor of Costume Design and Technology, starting in the fall of 2019. There is a possibility of renewal for a second and third year contingent on department needs and successful practices in the first year. 

Key Responsibilities:
We seek motivated applicants who value collegiality and the collaborative process. Primary responsibilities consist of teaching one or two (1 – 2) costume specific courses per semester, designing and/or mentoring student designers for three to four (3 – 4) faculty-directed mainstage shows per year, overseeing each production build and the overall management of the costume shop.

Minimum Qualifications  
MFA in theatre (costume emphasis) required; in lieu of an MFA, a bachelors degree and four (4) years experience will be considered.

Preferred Qualifications
Costume Design capabilities, Pattern Drafting for different period styles, abilities to teach Stage Make-up and Costume Construction courses, management of Costume Shop.
