The Shepherd University Department of Contemporary and Theater is seeking applicants for an Assistant Professor of Art, in Photography/Digital imagery. This full-time, tenure track position will be part of an interdisciplinary department, and work with students across multiple disciplines and majors. The chosen candidate will teach four courses per semester in the photography, foundations, and/or professional development areas. The candidate would lead the BFA photography program, including recruitment and advising photography majors.
Additionally, this position requires knowledge of relevant lab maintenance and the supervision of student employees and contingent faculty within the photo area. Full-time tenure track faculty are expected to maintain a relevant studio practice, with demonstrated examples of notable creative accomplishment as part of their assignment.
