The School of Architecture and the School of Interiors in the University of Kentucky College of Design seek applicants for a jointly appointed full-time, tenure-ineligible Lecturer to teach design studios as well as architecture or interior design related electives.

This position provides the opportunity to teach motivated students in programs committed to the history and theory of architecture/interiors, design innovation and experimentation, and building technology and fabrication. Teaching experience in design studios is required. Professional experience in architecture and interior design is preferred. Applicants with demonstrated passion for and innovative ideas about preparing students for the future will be prioritized. The successful candidate will also possess an enthusiastic desire to explore, define, and expand their design research agenda.

A professional degree in the field of architecture or interior design (M.Arch or equivalent) is required. Application materials should demonstrate expertise in architectural design and interior design as well as a comprehensive understanding of current design practices and contemporary modes of design and production.

The selected candidate will be jointly appointed to a full-time, tenure-ineligible 9-month Lecturer position in both the School of Architecture and the School of Interiors. This position is a 9-month appointment with an anticipated start date of August 16, 2025, and an initial appointment period of two (2) years to end May 15, 2027. The salary is competitive and based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
