The Department of Theatre at the University of Minnesota Duluth invites applicants for a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor (100%) in Theatre beginning Fall 2023. Responsibilities include teaching acting and directing courses; mentoring theatre performance students; directing one production a year; providing departmental service and other requisite duties of a tenure-track position.
Essential qualifications include a Terminal degree in appropriate discipline from an accredited university with two years teaching experience (graduate school teaching experience accepted). Professional acting and/or directing experience. Specific knowledge of actor training techniques. Evidence of sensitivity to and an understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, LGBTQ, and ethnic backgrounds of students, faculty and staff.
