The College of Design’s School of Architecture at the University of Kentucky seeks applicants for a visiting professor position to teach first-year architecture design studio, and/or first-year interior design studio, and an elective or seminar in both the fall and spring semesters, for a total of 18 credit hours for the academic year. Candidates should have expertise in one or more of the following categories: design, sustainability-oriented design, computation, visualization, and digital fabrication. The position will begin August 16, 2019 with an initial one-year appointment.
The College of Design is now accelerating toward the opening of a new adaptive re-use building under the design direction of architect Jeanne Gang and Studio Gang. We anticipate a new and vibrant first year experience embedded in an interdisciplinary environment of new technologies, which will include architecture, interior design, product design, historic preservation and urban design.
