Starting Fall 2023. Teach courses in Art HIstory Ph.D, or ABD in Art History required. Demonstrate the ability to maintain and build an art history program. The ideal candidate would have a strong generalist art history background, with the ability to teach courses ranging from Art Appreciation, general art history surveys, surveys in Non-western Art, history of Women in the Arts, Contemporary Art History, History of Graphic Design, Classical Art and Architecture and Art Theory & Criticism or Aesthetics. Two years of college teaching experience in art history courses preferred. Participate in development of curriculum and advise students in academic and career planning. Departmental service is also expected. Demonstrated excellence in teaching. Demonstrated excellence in written communication skills. Candidates are expected to maintain an active and professional creative or research practice that supports their teaching in productive ways. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
