Over the past 55 years, the Department of Architecture has contributed robustly to the steady growth, expansion and development that parallels the modernisation of the city-state of Singapore. Our Department has built and expanded on its long tradition of providing a high standard of professional architectural education and research in the setting of Asia’s top university.

    Its professional programs now include:
    Architecture, Urban Design, Landscape Architecture, Urban Planning and Integrated Sustainable Design. We invite dedicated and suitably qualified candidate for the following tenurable/educator track appointment who share our vision in Nurturing Creative Global Designers and Critical Thinkers for the Built Environment to shape Asia’s Future and the World:

    Full time positions are now available for Tenure track faculty (Assistant Professor/Associate Professor) and educator track faculty (Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, Associate Professor) in respective fields of Urban Design, Design Section, Landscape Architecture, Design Technologies, HTC.

    The successful candidate should have an earned doctorate or good Masters’ degree in Architecture or in the associated areas (Urban Planning, Urban Design, Landscape Architecture, HTC, Architecture, Design Technologies, Design Section) with requisite experience and credentials suitable for full-time appointment in NUS.

    • A Statement of Teaching (maximum two pages)
    • A Statement of Research (maximum three pages) - citing up to five significant publications, creative work or other scholarly contribution and explaining their significance
    • A list of six referees with contact details (who will be contacted only with your concurrence); and
    • Other forms of works detailing your research/teaching contributions (e.g. Teaching and Research portfolios)
