    Colgate University (NY) – Visiting Assistant Professor of Dance


    The Department of Theater at Colgate University invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor position in Dance, beginning fall 2025. Completion of the terminal degree (M.F.A. or PhD) is expected prior to or shortly after the date of hire. The field of specialization in artistic practice and scholarship is open, and candidates with an interdisciplinary interest and approach in both Theater and Dance are especially encouraged to apply. The teaching assignment of five courses per year may include an interdisciplinary, somatic introduction to Theater and Dance; beginning and advanced courses in Dance technique and choreography; and courses in Dance theory and history. Letter of application, curriculum vitae, and the names of three references must be submitted by February 21, 2025. Colgate strives to be a community supportive of diverse perspectives and identities.
