The role & key responsibilities
The Discipline Lead is responsible for the leadership, direction and management of the assigned discipline in the School of Business and Management. The Discipline Lead will work with the Head of Department and Head of School to integrate activities across organisational boundaries and disciplines to meet the needs of students and industry, ensure a consistent level of academic leadership is delivered across all programs under their management; and contribute to the strategic direction setting of the School by working collaboratively with other relevant members of the School executive to plan and develop programs and commercial activities.
The Discipline Lead will have direct line management of staff in the discipline area.
The scope of responsibilities includes assisting with strategic planning for all programs, program management at a program level where needed, quality assurance, student relationship management, human resource management, program budgeting and resource management.
Key selection criteria
PhD or equivalent relevant Doctoral qualification
At least 5 years relevant experience, teaching in a University environment
Proven teaching proficiency and management experience in Digital Marketing disciplines
Recognised research profile including substantial record of research outputs in high quality outlets.
Strong team player with an inclusive and collaborative approach.
