A tenure-track position as a theatre generalist to chair the Department of Theatre and Dance. Effective August of 2020. Ph.D. required. Hiring will be at associate or full professor rank, with an accelerated timeline towards tenure.

The successful candidate will demonstrate evidence of success in managing a department, a curriculum, and a production season. Ability to teach courses in theatre history and literature, including diverse literatures and histories, as well as beginning acting, is desired. All faculty are expected to contribute to the production season. The successful candidate will be a strong advocate for the role of theatre and dance in the liberal arts curriculum.

The standard annual teaching load is five courses; however, release time or other compensation is associated with chairing the department. The College provides a generous sabbatical leave program and professional development support for both research and teaching.
