The Film and Media Studies Program at Tufts University is seeking a part-time lecturer for Spring 2023 to teach a course on screenwriting at the undergraduate level. This course will operate as a writing workshop while also offering instruction in script analysis with an emphasis on character development, dramatic structure, and the visual nature of telling stories for the screen. First time enrollees develop a film treatment and write the first act of a feature-length screenplay. Returning students complete their scripts.

 

Qualifications

An MFA degree in screenwriting or a related field and experience teaching screenwriting at the college level is preferred.
