His research and teaching interests include sound design for theatre, dance, and site-specific performance art; radio drama and transmission art; jazz, electro-acoustic, and Indian Classical music; theories and practices of improvisation across the arts; digital technology and the performing arts; and intercultural performance. He received a MFA in Electronic Music and Recording Media from Mills College in California, where he received the Frog Peak Award for Experimental Music.
