The Department of Music at Auburn University invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track Lecturer of Percussion, to begin Fall 2024. This is a 9-month appointment under a one-year contract that will be renewed annually based on acceptable performance and continued funding. Appointment runs from August 16th, 2024 - May 15th, 2025.
The Lecturer of Percussion will recruit, retain, and teach percussion music majors, teach/direct percussion-related courses and ensembles, provide written percussion music and instruction for the Auburn University Marching Band. Administration of the percussion area including purchasing, equipment maintenance, hiring clinicians and consultants, and managing social media. Additional assignments possible depending on candidate strengths and departmental needs.
