DEPARTMENT OF THEATRE ARTS
ADJUNCT TEACHING POOL
The Department of Theatre Arts and Dance of the University of Texas at Arlington seeks qualified individuals for its Adjunct Instructor Pool for the fall 2019 and spring 2020 semesters. Available courses vary from semester to semester depending upon departmental teaching needs. Possible teaching areas/courses include: Beginning and advanced acting courses (Stanslavski-based and other recognized techniques); "Voice and Stage Movement" (not singing or dance; recognized techniques); "Fundamentals of Presentation" (beginning voice core course); "Theatre and Film Appreciation"; "Directing I"; "Musical Theatre History"; "Script Analysis"; "Introduction to Theatre" (core course); "Stage Management and Theatre Administration"; "Stage Craft 1 and 2’; Drafting on Vectorworks; Lighting Design; Scenic Design";"Dance Appreciation" (lecture core course); "Singing for the Actor" 1 and 2; Ballroom Dance.
Minimum Qualifications: MFA or PhD in Theatre; college/university teaching experience; professional experience in area(s) of specialization.
