The School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University seeks part-time lecturers to teach upcoming graphic design coursework. These courses are run through SMFA Continuing Education and count towards certificate programs in Graphic Design and Illustration. Courses in Continuing Education are also open for-credit to Tufts undergraduates not in SMFA degree programs. Course subjects may include:

·         Font, typography, calligraphy

·         Branding and packaging design

·         Publication design

·         Visualizing information

·         Scientific Illustration

·         Environmental Graphics

·         The Drawn and Digital Image

·         Introductory topics to graphic design

·         And more.

Depending on course and faculty needs, courses may be taught in-person at the Boston, MA or Medford, MA campuses, or fully online.

 

Qualifications

Candidates must have an MFA in a relevant area and teaching experience in graphic design, illustration, and design fundamentals. Experience teaching at the collegiate adult level is also required.
