As a Clinical Assistant Professor of Stage Management, the ideal applicant will be dedicated to fostering individual student growth and will have a broad understanding of current practices in the field. Responsibilities include teaching three or four courses per semester; mentoring and supervising undergraduate student projects and internships as well as participate in curriculum development and faculty governance. We seek an enthusiastic, imaginative, skilled Stage Manager to assist in developing and growing an exciting department of Stage/Arts Management students. The ideal candidate has initiative, drive, and is self-motivated. Active participation in service to the school and in the life of the unit is expected, as well as supervision/mentorship of undergraduate student projects, capstone experience and professional internships. The candidate will teach undergraduate core courses and develop new specialized courses in their area of expertise. Teach, mentor, and work with a diverse student population and contribute to an inclusive campus community is an essential component of the job. They will serve as technologist as needed on production. The candidate will perform appropriate service to school, institute, university, and profession.
