    Introduction

    General Description      


    The members of PMU’s Architecture faculty will:



    • Carry out the position's duties in accordance with college values and standards and in line with college policies and procedures, upholding high professional standards and leading by example.

    Qualifications & Experience (Required)



    • A Ph.D. in Architecture, Architectural Science, or Architectural Engineering from an accredited institution is required.

    • A minimum of four years of university-level teaching experience, a track record of research and publication, and professional architectural design experience are desirable. A verifiable architectural design and professional practice experience is preferable.

    • Proficiency in CAAD software and familiarity with AEC industry software relevant to architecture, such as Rhino, Grasshopper (Parametric Design Software), AutoCAD, Revit + Dynamo (BIM), 3D Studio MAX, Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator/InDesign, and Sketch Up, are essential.

    • Experience with CAAD/CAAM fabrication with laser cutter, CNC router, 3D Printer is essential.

    • Proficiency in Environmental Simulation and Analysis software such as AutoCAD, Revit (BIM), EnergyPlus, IES VE (Integrated Environmental Solutions Virtual Environment), Ecotect Analysis, Sefaira, LEED online tool, Climate Consultant, and Adaptation Platform Tools are essential.

    • Proven track record in publishing journal and conference proceedings papers in highly reputable outlets as well as exhibiting at renowned galleries.

    • Candidates should have excellent English language skills and be comfortable in a technology-enhanced academic environment.

    • For higher positions (Associate/Full Professor), a letter of promotion verifying the candidate's rank is necessary.


     


    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (Required)


    Candidates should specialize in Digital Design and Fabrication in Architecture (Design Computation) + BIM / Building Technology, Climate, Sustainability, and Health in the Built Environment.


     


    Duties and Responsibilities


    Responsibilities include contributing to curriculum development, innovative teaching, student guidance, maintaining professional development, and participating in the school and college's management and administrative functions.


     


    Remuneration and Benefits


    PMU offers an income tax-free compensation package, commensurate with rank and experience, including 12-month salary, PMU accommodation, annual vacation, and annual round-trip airfare to the home country, medical insurance and end of contract benefits.
